Our founder, Helena brings a wealth of experience, both personally and professionally, to her work. As a mother of eight children, Helena has a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges women face at every stage of life. This personal experience, combined with her extensive professional training, allows her to offer truly compassionate and holistic care to every client.
Meet Helena
Founder and Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist
Helena is the founder and clinical lead at Wolds Holistic Health. She is not only a highly skilled Specialist Physiotherapist, but she also holds first-class honours degrees in both Psychology and Physiotherapy. Her unique combination of qualifications enables her to take a well-rounded approach to health, considering the mental and emotional aspects of each client’s journey. In addition to her physiotherapy expertise, Helena is a trained practitioner in Health Psychology and Psychosexual Medicine, further enhancing her ability to support clients with complex and sensitive conditions.
Helena's services are particularly tailored to women’s health, with specialties in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). She offers treatments for pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, and postpartum recovery, including pessary fittings for prolapse management. Helena’s passion for empowering women also extends to offering the Mummy MOT, a detailed postnatal assessment designed to help women regain their strength and confidence after childbirth.
Meet Amanta
Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Scarborough and Bridlington clinics
Amanta is a pelvic health physiotherapist working at our Scarborough and Bridlington clinics. She holds an MSc in Physiotherapy, Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bradford (2023) and also works part-time in the NHS, gaining broad clinical experience.
Her main passion is pelvic health, particularly pregnancy and postnatal rehabilitation, supporting new mums as they return to activity and sport. A qualified Pilates instructor and baby massage practitioner, she offers a holistic approach to care. Now living on the Yorkshire coast with her husband and baby daughter, she provides physiotherapy services and Pilates classes across the local area.
Meet Miranda
Counselling Psychologist

Miranda is a Counselling Psychologist dedicated to helping you improve your mental wellbeing and navigate life’s challenges. She offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. Together, you’ll develop strategies that help you move forward in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to you.
Miranda’s approach to therapy is integrative, drawing on a range of psychological theories and modalities—including psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)—to ensure that your sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals. With a first-class degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, Miranda has experience working with children, teenagers, and adults.She offers individual therapy for a wide range of difficulties, including: Anxiety and depression, Stress and burnout, Relationship and family challenges, Anger and emotional regulation, Grief and loss, Pre- and postnatal mental health, Adjusting to major life changes.

IBCLC Lactation Consultant / Infant Feeding Specialist
South Cave clinic and virtually
Claire is an IBCLC Lactation Consultant dedicated to supporting mothers and babies through every stage of their breastfeeding journey. A mother of five, Claire brings extensive experience, compassion, and evidence-based guidance to each family she serves. She offers personalised lactation care, including prenatal breastfeeding education and comprehensive postpartum support, all tailored to your individual needs and goals. Claire also offers a weekly Baby Weigh-in Clinic.
Passionate about helping families overcome breastfeeding challenges and build confidence, Claire is committed to creating a positive and successful feeding experience. Claire is available for consultations at our South Cave Clinic.
Meet Dawn
Clinic Manager
Dawn brings a diverse and enriching background to her role, combining a deep commitment to care, creativity, and communication. A former veterinary nurse and mother of four, she is also an accomplished professional choral singer and composer. Currently completing a Master’s degree in Music Composition, Dawn regularly performs with the York Oratory.
Alongside her academic and musical pursuits, she is nearing completion of her training as a certified breathwork coach, a service we plan to offer in the future. Her primary role is Clinic Manager and often the first point of contact for patients, Dawn is a consummate professional known for her warm, compassionate approach and attentive listening skills.
As a Psychosexual Medicine Practitioner, Helena addresses the emotional and psychological dimensions of health, providing expert care for those experiencing sexual dysfunction or related issues. Her compassionate approach ensures that clients feel safe and supported as they navigate these challenges.
