Psychology

At Wolds Holistic Health, we offer an integrative approach to therapy. This is a flexible and holistic approach to psychological wellbeing that draws from different evidence-based models. We recognise that no single approach works for everyone as each person’s emotional world is shaped by unique experiences, relationships and challenges. An integrative approach enables us to blend different techniques and tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals.

Our therapeutic approach

We combine elements of psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help you understand yourself more deeply, develop healthier strategies, and create lasting change.

Psychodynamic therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on how early experiences and unconscious processes influence your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we explore the roots of recurring difficulties and patterns in relationships, helping you gain insight and self-understanding.

Attachment theory

Attachment theory emphasises the importance of early relationships in shaping how we connect with others. Understanding your attachment style and early childhood can help you to build more secure, trusting, and fulfilling relationships, both with others and yourself.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that contribute to distress. It offers practical tools and strategies and can be helpful for people who prefer a more solution-focused approach.
